The Wishlist is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families in Washoe County by providing support for essential health, educational and basic living needs. We offer single allocation funding for immediate unmet needs.The vision here at The Wishlist is that all children can live healthy, thriving, safe and productive lives. Because when basic needs go unmet, children struggle in school and families face unnecessary stress. By providing essential resources, we can help create stronger, more stable households and brighter futures!
We connect with Washoe County schools and work with the principal, assistant principal, counselor and teachers to identity families in need. Families fill out an interest form to let us know what they are lacking. Once we have our list of necessities, The Wishlist gets to work! The goal is help and hope for every family.
The Wishlist helps with: food, dental work, medication, eye glasses, hygiene products, home repair, school supplies, furniture and more. The list is endless and can be ever changing. Whatever a family needs, our goal is to provide!
